About Seth Egert

Although I don’t have a huge passion for writing LinkedIn Summaries, I do have a passion for telling stories - so I hope to tell my story and give you a sense of who I am through these brief paragraphs. In a nutshell, I am an editor and producer who is seeking to grow myself and my craft in the post-production world. After graduating from Hofstra University with a B.A in Video/Television, I decided to move cross country to work with PrimeImage Media, a small video production firm based out of Phoenix. Despite knowing only one person in Arizona, I was following my passions, and that alone was enough to give me the courage needed to make such a drastic move. At PrimeImage Media, I served as an Associate Producer, contributing to all aspects of production in both lead and assistant type roles. I have gained valuable hands-on experience with the company and have been able to work side by side with a variety of different clients. After landing in Los Angeles and networking with anyone who would listen, I was offered a Control Room Operator position with Create Advertising. The control room was fast paced and high volume, but working in this type of environment, I learned new and greater ways to multitask and prioritize my given assignments. Within my time at Create I was promoted to Assistant Editor, then Senior Assistant Editor, and eventually to Junior Editor. What makes me unique is my ability to stay positive during even the most unnerving situations. A previous manager once called me “the most positive guy he knows,” and I believe positivity not only has an impact on myself but also those around me.
