About Seth King

Thanks for visiting my page! My research group focuses on investigating, and understanding, the relationships between the structural, elemental, electrical, optical, and morphological properties of wide bandgap oxide materials with applications in electronic, optoelectronic, photovoltaic, and photocatalytic devices. We utilize both reactive RF/DC sputter deposition and spray pyroloysis for synthesis as to ensure that material fabrication may be easily scaled to industrial levels. Our state-of-the-art, in-house research facilities consist of x-ray florescence and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for chemical analysis; atomic force, scanning tunneling, scanning electron, and confocal microscopy for surface morphology and tribology measurements; thin-film and powder x-ray diffraction for structural analysis; spectroscopic ellipsometry and UV-Vis spectrometry for optical characterization; a Malvern Zetasizer Nano ZS dynamical light scattering system for determining particle size, electrophoretic mobility of proteins, and the zeta potential of colloids and nanoparticles; as well as four-point resistivity and photocarrier voltammetry for electrical characterization.
