Current role’s responsibilities/duties: • Designing, executing, and performing abusive and performance qualification testing on battery cells, modules, and packs • Supporting Test and Evaluation Team Leader with leadership activities such as project management, business development, hiring, supporting with overcoming obstacles that arise during project work, and team revenue analysis • Support teaching BIC’s Energy Storage Short Course (ESSC) to industry leaders in the battery and energy storage system industry. o Topics Taught: Standards, Battery Management Systems, Thermal Management Systems, DC High Voltage Fundamentals (Full Course), and Battery Teardown (Cell, Module, and Pack), • Performing projects supporting customers in battery module/pack manufacturing facility development, laser welding development for battery testing and module/pack integration, battery testing advisory, and developing custom battery fixturing and testing equipment for performance and abusive battery testing • Evaluating, building, and interfacing with prototype battery modules, packs, and battery management systems
