About Seth Michael Donsky

Seth Michael Donsky is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter named to the International Screenwriters’ Association’s list of the top 25 to watch in 2024. He's on their distinguished development slate and a recipient of their 2023 Diversity Initiative. Oscar-winner Bruce Cohen is producing his screenplay Stardusk, the story of Warhol transgender superstar Candy Darling, with Canadian Screen Award nominee Bretten Hannam attached to direct. Seth's specs include adaptations of the award-winning YA book OCD, The Dude, and Me, ex-Scientologist Kate Bornstein’s memoir A Queer and Pleasant Danger, and the original story Grit N’ Glitter about the struggle to produce La Cage aux Folles on Broadway during the AIDS crisis. My debut feature Twisted premiered at Berlin and had a limited theatrical run, earning acclaim from major outlets including Variety, the LA Times and The Village Voice. It was inducted into MoMA and showcased with Pier Paolo Pasolini. My work has screened at major fests worldwide, including Berlin, London, Seattle, and New York, and has won audience awards at the GLBTQ fests in Turin and Ottawa. I hold an MFA from Columbia University, where he was a two-time top scholarship recipient. His thesis film received Faculty Select honors. I live in Los Angeles with my husband, acclaimed modern dancer/choreographer Patrick Corbin, a USC dance professor, their son, three cats, and one French Bulldog.
