About Seth Reimer

Seth Reimer is the Cultural Manager for the City of Sumter. Seth is responsible for setting the vision and strategic goals for all aspects of the Sumter Opera House including programming, education, audience engagement, long-term planning, collaborative programming, fundraising, and marketing. Seth is an active member within the with North Carolina Presenters Consortium, Association of Performing Arts Professionals, League of Historic American Theatres, International Entertainment Buyers Association, United States Institute for Theatre Technology and Americans for the Arts. Seth has served as a panelist in numerous Arts selection committees and in 2018 received recognition at the National Mayors conference for a program he developed and instituted to provide arts opportunities to his community through the Y.E.S. program. Seth volunteers as a mentor for new arts professionals entering the Presenting Arts career field. Prior to moving to Sumter, SC Seth was employed as a Performance Manager at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City, where he was promoted to the position of Operations Manager. During his time in the Northeast, Seth worked with the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival and spent years touring with numerous contemporary dance companies. Many times, you can find him “behind the scenes” consulting for local arts organizations as production coordinator, lighting designer or scenic designer.
