About Severin Grant

20+ years of experience in the surveying field, 15 years in survey party chief capacity. Types of work performed include but not limited to, Large Infrastructure projects such as roadway and bridge design surveys, residential surveys, large commercial ALTA surveys, large 100+ acre topographical surveys, large boundary surveys, as well as all types of construction layout and as-built surveys. I am very experienced in use of many types of total station including Leica, Trimble, Nikon, Topcon, and Geodometer, as well as multiple robotic total stations. I am also very proficient with variety of data collectors including, Carlson and TDS collectors and software.I am also very experienced using a variety of modern GNSS and RTN GPS systems. I am experienced with the field operation of a variety of HDS scanners including Leica P50, Leica BLK 360 and Leica RTC360, using Cyclone software to produce high density 3D models and mapping for design as well as presentation purposes- Certified by Autodesk as a CADD Technician - LIRR, Metronorth, and NYCT track trained- 40 hr HAZWOPER trained - OSHA 30 hr trained - OSHA 10 hr trained. Some notable projects that I have been involved in as a field lead include, but not limited to- NYCEDC East River Esplanade Manhattan: Design survey of thirty plus blocks along the East River for the purpose of extending the East River Promenade from E 37th St. to E. 61st St. Project involved all facets of data collection, from GPS to complete a 50+ point link traverse, HDS scanning, conventional traverse and topo, as well as digital leveling throughout the project extents-RFK Triboro Bridge Randalls Island Manhattan: design survey of superstructure and ground existing conditions. Project completed using HDS scanning, static GPS and conventional surveying methods-Long Island Expressway & Grand Central Parkway interchange Queens - Numerous NYC transit station and tube Laser scanning projects.
