About Sevgi Taskin

I have graduated from Ankara University and started to work at a software company as a sales dep. assistant. I have been trained for marketing methods of tailored software programs. I took courses of project management and network structures in this company. I worked for a commercial bank in Turkey for a year at individual loans department before I resigned to complete my postgraduate education. I began to work as a Research Assistant at Ankara University where I completed my first MSc degree in Development Economics. In 2007, I was assigned as Health Sector Quality Specialist at Ministry of Health. I attended seminars in WB, Washington DC and Geneva, WHO about Patient Safety & Impact Evaluation Analysis. I have translated books such as "Accreditation of Health Facilities in EU" which were published by MoH. I took place in the Organisation Committee of 1st Health Quality Congress as academical tasks coordinator and keynote speaker in Antalya-Turkey in March, 2009. From January 2010 to date I've been a teaching fellow in Abant IB University Bolu Vocational College. I am currently teaching several courses such as Finance and Enterpreunership, PR in Small Business, Basic IT and Communication Theories in Social Sciences, Quality Management Systems, EU History, International Organisations, Development Economics, Health Facility Management, Research Methodologies in Social Sciences. My ongoing PhD studies at Administrative Sciences Dpt. in Ankara University is being supervised by Professor Ozan Zengin which focus on policy transfering. I have earned my second master degree in International Comperative Social Policy MA program at University of York, UK. I aim to participate in mainly socially based projects to share my experience, background and enthusiasm about policy adaptation models. My academic interests focus on public policy implementation, change management, network society, modern cooperatives, income distribution, small business management and international institutions.
