Well trained in minimally invasive cancer procedures like Laparoscopy & Robotic surgeries. One of the few women surgeons trained in Robotic Colorectal Cancer surgeries, Cytoreductive surgeries & PIPAC therapy in the entire country. Trained in highest volume cancer center ( Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai ) for both Breast Cancer Surgeries & Colorectal Cancer Surgeries. Completed Advanced Robotic Surgery training ( Post doctoral Vattikuti Fellowship) from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, USA. First dedicated Robotic Colorectal Cancer surgeon of J&K. Additionally trained in Laser surgeries also. Special interest in ERAS, perioperative fluid balance, Nutritional support in Cancer management, Psycho-oncology. A firm believer of Prevention is better than cure. initiated a Cancer Awareness drive in 2017 & has till date touched more than lives through Cancer Awareness talks, webinars, articles & videos. A strong proponent of Preventive & Precision Oncology ( personalised cancer care).
