About Shachar Jerushalmi

A passionate researcher, I divide my free time between climbing, hiking and mushroom foraging. Presently serving as the Co-Founder & CTO of W.C.H, a company engaged in research and development, and Cannabis products manufacturing. Always trying to push my own limits and learn new things. I thrive on unanswered problems, nothing excites me more than the words "it can't be done". I love teamwork and functioning in a team through collaboration and cooperation is integrated in my character. As part of my passion for biological research I hold a B.sc in marine biology a M.sc in agroecology and plant disease from the Hebrew university. Currently I am conducting my Ph.D. research in the Volcani institute in collaboration with the Hebrew university characterizing plant disease affecting Cannabis plants, developing innovative and novel methods for Cannabis inflorescence sterilization and breeding pathogen resilient Cannabis cultivars. During my research I got the opportunity to consult and work with cannabis farms and biotech companies across the country.
