With over 25 years of expertise scaling iconic global brands, including Meta’s Reality Labs, Bumble, Snap Inc, and Apple, Shachar has driven transformative growth at the intersection of technology, culture, and consumer connection.After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Shachar began in women’s advocacy, helping legalize emergency contraception through Planned Parenthood alongside then-Senator John F. Kerry. This sparked her passion for purpose-driven branding, leading her to reshape the voice of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), famed for launching Head Start and Meals on Wheels while advocating for a pro-choice judiciary.She earned her MS in Strategic Communications from Columbia University, directing marketing for student services there, then spent six years crafting digital and brand strategies at agencies like Digitas, Deep Focus, and StrawberryFrog.In 2011, Apple recruited her to lead market development for its digital advertising platform. She later became Managing Director at West, overseeing its New York venture portfolio, before joining Snap Inc. in 2017 as Head of Global Brand Marketing to fuel growth and revenue.In late 2020, she joined Bumble as VP of Global Marketing, steering brand, product, community, partnerships, and expansion into 150 markets.At the end of 2021, Shachar joined Meta’s Reality Labs as VP of Global Marketing, leading integrated brand efforts across VR/MR (Meta Quest), content (Oculus Studios, Beat Saber), AI wearables (Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, Meta Ray-Ban glasses and beyond), and the Metaverse (Horizon Worlds, Horizon OS, Quest Store, Avatars)—bringing immersive tech to tens of millions.After concluding impactful tenures at Meta and as an Independent Board Member at TouchTunes, Shachar also advises and invests in early-stage tech and consumer companies, guiding branding, go-to-market, and scaling strategies.She serves on the Board at SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young (SAY.org), where she spearheaded a full rebrand and continues advising on marketing.Shachar lives in Venice, California, with her husband Jason and their 14-year-old twins, Morgan and Riley. Originally from Israel, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1985.
