Over twenty five years of switchgear and manufacturing experience - from hands on assembly, installation, maintenance, product testing, client demonstrations, commissioning & sitework to business system support, product quality and safety management (as my current role). Currently in my role as a QHSE Engineer I assist the business maintain its ISO certification through internal and external auditing and maintain its legal register ensuring compliance. I am a trained Lead Auditor in ISO45001, hold the NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals and NEBOSH certifications in Occupational Health and Safety & Fire Safety plus hold the IOSH Managing Safely certificate. Also trained in Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Safety Risk Assessments, Legionella control, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and Dangerous Substances Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR)(trained directly via the Health & Safety Executive HSE). I'm a fully qualified first aider, appointed person for the Powell UK Ltd business with regards fire compliance and trained in behavioral safety. Working as a support function for all departments, I am approachable, offer a pragmatic approach to issues and using my years of product and system knowledge will assist with finding the right solution where I can.
