About Shadd Spencer

I have always worked in a fast paced, heavy machinery type environment. I worked at a printing factory from 2004-2012 moved up quickly earning journeyman status. Ended my time there training as an assistant pressman learning many skills along the way such as leadership, teamwork, operation control, and instructional education for employees moving up the ladder.I then worked at CSXT Transportation as a Yardmaster. I started in 2012 as a freight conductor and CRO Operator. I studied at The Redi Center in Atlanta GA for 6 weeks for my position as conductor. I have learned a lot as to how the transportation industry works over the years and would love to further my career in the industry.I raced competitively in atv motocross from age 11 to age 30. I have always enjoyed the family atmosphere that racing brings and also learned a lot of valuable skills through doing so. From using heavy machinery to build tracks to helping run a local track out of Galion, Ohio i have learned people skills and how to overcome adversity to make things run smoothly for a successful operation.I am a very mechanical person starting at a young age helping my family work on vehicles, engine building, painting, body work and such. I also have skills in construction work.I have started a side business of my own, media removal and powder-coating with goals of learning more of a business aspect to see where future endeavors may take me.Starting in 2019 I got into the railcar repair business with Cathcart Rail and have learned a lot from this company. From Quality to Billing Specialist and customer interaction. I have now taken the role as Production Supervisor to help with all operations of the plant with plans on higher positions to learn more of the trade.
