I'm a skilled leader and full stack software developer who quickly adapts to new technologies and subject matter. My passion is for clever, elegant software solutions to business and user problems. I have natural leadership qualities and these shine when looking after a team of mixed skill sets. I am able to encourage and enable my team while protecting them from external noise that would otherwise distract from doing what they need to do. I work best in an agile environment (with a preference for Scrum), so I can be sure that the work I'm doing is of the most benefit for the business possible. While I'm a developer and my love lies in technological solutions, I am also able to step back, see business needs, user desires and adjust accordingly. I understand that the best solution to a business problem often involves no software changes at all. I have strong interpersonal skills, which enable me to influence, win over and build lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients. Great written and verbal skills allow me to understand, interpret and convey meaning well to developers, end users and stakeholders alike. I pride myself in my ability to drive positive cultural changes, including people of all personality types into the conversation so that none feel excluded. I am a social person, arranging small team activities wherever practical. I enjoy learning and sharing my knowledge with others who may find it useful. A sense of community and learning within a company is very important to me.
