Background

About Shaghayegh Shayan

I was born in 1994 in Iran, where I got my bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. During my studies, I spent my professional internship at Prof. Chadorbaf’s studio, where I not only visited several large-scale construction projects but also learned architectural drawing and model making. After graduation, I worked as an architect and researcher for Khod Avand’s consulting engineering company in urban and conservation planning. Currently, I am studying for a master’s degree in architecture for sustainability at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and for my thesis proposal, I am researching biomimetic design for sustainability and material science. I am constantly looking for new challenges to learn the latest technology and design creative and efficient solutions for projects at every scale. In addition to architecture, I have a particular interest in art, especially watercolor painting, and I held an art exhibition in Turin. I also dedicate my spare time to producing fashion products (e.g, clothing, accessories). I love backpacking all around the world to experience different cultures, make global networks, discover nature, and collect inspiration for my designs.
