Background

About Shahn Shamdasani

My expertise is in manufacturing automation, new product development, and more recently web application development. I have extensive experience working on NPI (New Product Introduction) projects, industrial robots, machine vision systems and in the design & automation of test systems. Growing up watching and helping my father build experimental motors and circuits was the beginning of my journey into electronics. I enjoy taking things apart to think about how I would have built it to make it more efficient, beautiful and economical. I was a member of the inaugural class of New York University Shanghai, and graduated in May 2017 with a B.S in Electrical Engineering, and a Mandarin Chinese minor. I speak fluent Mandarin, and previously worked with Agilent Technologies in Shanghai. I was at the forefront of their digitalization transition, and developed automation software and electronic hardware in a precision manufacturing environment. I managed and led global teams to unify and implement machine vision at production sites across the world. I also worked closely with R&D for new product development. I currently work with Nilenso Software, where I focus on and enjoy developing web applications.
