About Shakir Khan

I hold a Master’s degree in Fisheries Science with strong academic and field experience in aquaculture fisheries management and especially fisheries extension. I am passionate about connecting scientific knowledge with local communities through outreach programs farmer trainings and awareness initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable fisheries practices and capacity-building. Currently I’m interning in the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat at Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) where I support administrative coordination communication and institutional operations at the highest level. This role has strengthened my organizational communication and professional skills within an academic environment. I have completed a six-month Diploma in Computer Applications and have a strong command of MS Office tools including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook. I use these tools confidently for documentation data management presentations and administrative tasks. Alongside my academic and professional journey I manage Beauty Bee a cosmetics retail venture offering premium international brands. This entrepreneurial experience has helped me develop business management customer service and marketing skills. I am dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the fisheries sector—especially through extension services and community engagement—while continuously expanding my capabilities across both technical and administrative domains.
