About Shan He
Architecture Design is all about BALANCE. Living art in the real life is to seek reasonable comfort, which needs to consider the current economic and social condition (e.g. energy crisis and international politics), technology development (e.g. new material and construction innovation), and spiritual aspiration, etc. This complex can be tracked to our ancestors' housing in ancient time and is always in a dynamic status. Getting lost of drawing lines on the screen without looking deep into it, I decided to explore what architects need to know and how to position ourselves well in the emerging new complexity, focusing on design guidelines for energy efficiency and human comfort. This is an inter-disciplinary research work needs a bridge between architecture and engineering. I am intentionally training myself with more engineering knowledge and skills against my architectural education background. And in the meanwhile I am seeking for more collaboration opportunity.
