About Shanda Stevens

With a diverse professional background that spans over 17 years in leadership and management roles, both in the military and the civilian sector, I bring a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to every endeavor I undertake. My career began in the United States Army, where I have served in every component; Active Duty, Reserves, and most recently the Alabama Army National Guard. I began as an enlisted logistics soldier and earned my commission as an Adjust General Officer. My role as an AG Officer is equivalent to that of a Human Resources Manager in the civilian sector. As a soldier I developed a strong foundation in leadership, discipline, and strategic planning. This military experience laid the groundwork for my transition into the business world, where I have since thrived in management, organizational restructuring, entrepreneurial endeavors, policy creation, human resources, talent acquisitions, strategic and workforce planning, action plan development, and job market analytics. Holding a Bachelor's degree alongside an MPA from Florida State University, my academic journey has been as enriching as my professional one. I am currently striving to enhance my HR credentials with a PHR certification, underscoring my commitment to excellence and continuous learning in the field of human resources. As an entrepreneur, I own a commercial landscaping company that operates across state lines. This venture has not only fueled my passion for business but has also taught me the nuances of remote management, financial oversight, and delivering customer satisfaction through strategic delegation and team management. In my current role as an HR specialist, I am passionate about leveraging my diverse background to contribute to effective talent acquisition, employee engagement, and the development of HR strategies that align with organizational goals. I am driven by the challenge of finding and nurturing talent, fostering a positive work environment, and building robust organizational cultures that thrive on diversity, innovation, and success.
