After successfully selling print advertising for 18 years and seeing many of my clients moving their budgets from print to digital advertising, I decided the time was right to do the same. In July 2013, l made the move to Carsales as the Group Sales Manager for Leisure, Lifestyle & Industry products. These include Trucksales, Constructionsales, Farmmachinerysales, Equipmentsales, Boatsales, Boatpoint, Bikesales, Bikepoint and Caravancampingsales. All of these sites are leaders in their categories and if you want to sell a product or service in these markets, we have a range of options to suit. I love that l can now sell a tailored solution to each and every advertiser I speak to. As an example - large truck manufacturer. I can set up a campaign to target truck buyers searching for prime movers which is extremely targeted. This campaign will reach those people more likely to buy a prime mover because that's what they are searching for. There is no wastage of my advertisers budget. Previously l sold a page in a magazine. Now I work out exactly who the client wants to target and I then come up with a digital solution. It is highly rewarding when you deliver great results or over- deliver on a clients expectations. A lot of the time, me and my team become the first port of call when our clients have a digital question. Explaining google analytics, hitwise reports, google adwords and anything digital.
