About Shane Boren

Specializing in the development of projects for health systems from a project's inception, I assist in developing project requirements for planning and construction projects as well as plan and coordinate projects through the design development phase. My experience with preliminary planning efforts include developing budgets, space requirements and design schedules. Projects in the preliminary stages can include site evaluations, code requirement research, development of preliminary/architectural site plans and assisting the owner in assembling the project team. My experience during the conceptual design phase through the design development phase includes documenting and understanding the users operational needs and translating that into space planning needs including developing departmental adjacency diagrams and floor plan development. In addition, I ensure our consultants such as structural, MEP, low voltage, FFE, medical equipment and the civil engineer are implementing the owners project requirements into the design documents. As the design progresses the design is further refined to ensure millwork and equipment requirements are incorporated and coordinated in the design; prior to proceeding into construction documents.
