Over my 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in the aerospace industry, I have undertaken intricate engineering challenges and led complex projects. I built knowledge of fluid systems, valves, system modeling, and the entire design and development lifecycle. As the leader of high-visibility projects, I honed my ability to hear concerns and broker compromise; I help cross-functional teams understand internal and customer goals and work together to achieve them. MY CAREER EVOLUTION After my master’s, I interned at Anark Corporation, creating and validating technical engineering designs. I moved into a mechanical engineer position at Woodward, where I have spent 8+ years; I initially performed engineering analysis and component testing for various aerospace projects. I grew through positions of increasing responsibility. Colleagues brought me in to assist with the technical aspects of customer-facing presentations. I took over a critical valve engineering project, delivering results on time and saving significant costs for both Woodward and the customer. Now, as a project owner, I oversee schedule, resources, and quality while still utilizing my technical expertise. I enjoy the mix of leadership and hands-on design and engineering. MY VALUE PROPOSITION I excel at building expertise on a product or project to improve processes, uncover improvement opportunities, and solve complex problems. I manage the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design through troubleshooting and technical transfer to manufacturing. My strengths include effectively prioritizing work on the critical path while mitigating risks to safety, budget, or schedule. REPRESENTATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS Compiled a detailed design review for a project that included a cutting-edge additively manufactured component, the first of its kind for both Woodward and the customer; proved the product’s readiness for FFA certification testing. Innovated technical solutions to address evolving and conflicting design requirements. Shortened hands-on vibration testing time through automation.
