My journey has evolved from Lubrication Tech to Maintenance Technician, culminating in a leadership role that underlines a commitment to operational excellence and safety stewardship. Currently, I'm expanding my professional horizons by pursuing IT certifications focusing on cybersecurity. At this stage of my life, it has become time to stretch my boundaries and comfort level. The healthcare industry is of particular interest to me. Earning an entry-level position gives you an immediate opportunity to give back. My role in industrial maintenance has several transferable skills that will immediately make me an asset to any team. Customer service is the first one that comes to mind. My twenty-five-plus years of troubleshooting machinery is similar to IT concerns as there is typically a process to follow for resolution. Verifying that concerns have been rectified also transfers directly to IT. I am interested in connecting with anyone within the IT or cybersecurity sector for advice, education, or general advice to someone making a drastic career change.
