About Shane Drinkwater

Shane Drinkwater is the Director for Information Technology in Grant County Wisconsin. He is responsible for working with the county board of supervisors and department directors to set priorities,IT technologies and budgets. Shane oversees a 5 person department of highly educated and motivated IT professionals. Since joining the team in 2018 the department has been working on county wide fiber optics, upgrades to the county IT infrastructure, county courthouse video conferencing system and the new Grant County Community Services Building. Shane values teamwork, creative thinking and open communications. He currently lives near Potosi with his wife Jill and two children Henry and Anna. The family has many pets which includes 7 sheep, Lady a border collie, Easter the Holland lop bunny, Ike an African Grey Parrot and a 180 gallon saltwater reef tank. During the summer he plays trombone with Potosi, Lancaster and Platteville community bands. So if you have a free night during the summer come on down for a night of music. Shane has had the privilege to be the Legos, K'NEX, Computers and Robotics judge for the Grant County fair. An activity he always looks forward to. In his free time he enjoys computers, R/C aircraft, building custom autonomous drones, wearable electronics and when possible SCUBA diving.
