About Shane Fitzpatrick

With over 25 years of experience in public safety and healthcare, I currently serve as an Emergency Management Officer with Alberta Health Services Emergency/Disaster Management in the Calgary Zone. My career has spanned roles such as Clinical Operations Supervisor with AHS EMS, Advanced Care Paramedic with AHS EMS, and Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) Paramedic with the Calgary Police Service Tactical Unit. I have also specialized in mountain rescue and avalanche control in BC and Alberta. As the Director of Crisis Point Trauma Care, my mission has been to empower civilians with life-saving skills in traumatic situations. Our organization's focus on bleeding control techniques and the Stop the Bleed campaign has bolstered community resilience, aligning with my dedication to public safety. My concurrent role as an Emergency Management Officer with Alberta Health Services has sharpened my competencies in crisis leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration. These experiences, coupled with expertise in Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, drive my commitment to enhancing emergency response and disaster preparedness.
