Shane Goulder, the director of Mine Made, brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the coal mining industry, particularly within longwall and development panels. Starting his career as an operator in 2004 and later becoming a deputy, Shane has a deep understanding of the challenges miners face on a daily basis.In 2021, Shane noticed how challenging it was for miners to handle breakaway protection manually, leading to injuries. Determined to create a safer and more efficient solution, he developed the Cablesaver. This innovation has since evolved, becoming stronger and more durable based on real-world feedback, and has helped reduce downtime and injuries and improve efficiency in the mines.Today, Shane’s focus is on continuously refining and expanding Mine Made’s product line, always aiming to make equipment lighter, safer, and more user-friendly. He believes in growing steadily and doing things right—no rushing, no cutting corners—just practical innovation that makes a real difference underground.
