About Shane Gowda

I am a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and sustainable engineering solutions. A Ph.D. graduate from NIT Karnataka, my work spans cutting-edge research on Savonius hydrokinetic turbines, renewable energy systems, and waste recycling technologies. Currently serving as a Lecturer at Government Polytechnic, Tumkur, I have mentored students on innovative projects, led curriculum development, and driven impactful placement initiatives, successfully placing over students within a short span as the Corporate Outreach Head at the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka. My expertise includes numerical simulations, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), renewable energy technologies, and entrepreneurial mentorship. I have published multiple papers in high-impact journals (Elsevier) and collaborated with international scholars on sustainable engineering projects like the Maire Tecnimont Centre for Waste Recycling and Circular Economy. Beyond academics, I have coordinated National Service Scheme (NSS) activities, fostering community development and earning state-level recognition for my contributions. I am passionate about combining innovation with practical solutions to address sustainability challenges and continuously strive to advance renewable energy technologies.
