I began my electrical career in 1997 as an apprentice in Seattle, WA, and earned my Journeyman License in 2002. Over the past 20 years, I’ve gained experience working across the Pacific Northwest, Southern Utah, and Houston, TX. I spent 18 years in residential, commercial, and light industrial work—handling wiring, conduit bending, troubleshooting, and installations. For 7 of those years, I focused on industrial work, including controls, motor controls, PLC wiring, troubleshooting, and VFD commissioning—all while attending school full-time. I’ve worked for four electrical contractors and two industrial oil & gas facilities. In 2018, after completing my degree, I was promoted by my employer to my first role as an electrical engineer. My hands-on field experience continues to inform my engineering work, giving me valuable perspective for sound design and practical decision-making.
