About Shane Johnston

I am an experienced and dedicated educational leader with over eleven years of administrative and managerial experience in diverse and challenging school settings. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on International Trade, and a Master of Science (MS) in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Texas A&M International University. I also have multiple certifications in Superintendent, Principal, and Technology Applications. As the Assistant High School Principal at San Felipe Del Rio CISD, I am responsible for overseeing staff, students, curriculum planning, 504 Coordinator, Master Schedule, AP & STAAR Testing, and campus safety. I collaborate with district and campus administrators, teachers, counselors, and interventionists to ensure alignment of instruction, implementation of professional learning communities, and data-driven decision making. I am passionate about promoting student achievement, fostering a positive school culture, and enhancing community engagement. My goal is to use my unique combination of educational and work experiences to prepare students for the twenty-first century and help create a more competitive and global learning environment.
