About Shane Knaggs

After completing a 4 year Mechanical Apprenticeship I continued in the Automotive Industry for another 12 years as a Technician and Parts Interpreter. I made a career change to the outdoors and went Landscape Gardening, I purchased an existing Landscaping business and built it up over the next 4 years. I was offered a job Managing a Cattle Property at Nungurner. 8 years was spent Managing and Maintaining the Property to create a profitable business. In 2012 I joined the Resources Industry and went to Qld as an Operator with HSA working in the coal mines around Emerald doing rock fall protection operating Excavators, Drills, EWP's and W@H. After that project finished I went to WA with Dunstans where I operated both Vertical and HDD drills working on FMG's Rail line. If not drilling I filled in as a Tipper/ Water cart driver or in the Logistics crew moving materials out to site. I then went back to Qld with HSA, this time to Moranbah working at both the BMA Broadmeadows Mine and Vales Carborough Downes Mine, as a Rope Access Technician and Driller also doing rock fall protection. I spent a few weeks back in the Pilbara at Rio Tinto's Hope Downs 4 mine as a hydraulics fitter with CCR Hose and Fittings. In August '14 I joined Nabors International Sea Drilling as a Nightshift Drill Rig Mechanic on Marlin B platform, Rig 175 Turrum Drilling project. That project was completed in July 2015, well under time and budget with a recognized best safety record for a drilling program. I was awarded Nabors International Sea Drilling Safety award for Excellence in Safety. Jobs over the last 2 years have been, Highwall Stabilization Australia as a Ropes Access Technician, Driller, Operator and Dogman, McInnes Earthmoving for 6 months as an operator/labourer before heading back to the Pilbra with Dunstans as a rig hand/plant operator on one of their HDD Maxi Rigs. Currently looking for ongoing work in the resources Industry-available for an immediate start.
