About Shane Kuhl

Previously I have genuinely enjoyed working in IT, particularly working with people and using IT to achieve their business goals and my career history has provided exposure to a large range of IT and management activities in often difficult circumstances. However in 2012 we have sold the IT business and now I have completed a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) via CQ University Flex program. My goal with this study is to work further with people on a closer basis in either Human Resources or Social Work. My strengths lie in my ability to communicate across boundaries be they cultural, economic or work-related and now I would like to use and build upon my IT, human resources, project management and communication skills to work more closely with people on a day-today basis and to seek out new challenges where I can assist others achieve their business, work or personal goals. I would describe myself as a professional, human service worker with life experience offering long term commitment. Having enjoyed previous work in a range of roles, I am very keen to apply my studies and work in social work. With a genuine interest in making a positive impact in the lives of others, especially within children and family services, I have a strong interest in the role of stress and trauma.
