About Shane Leinberger

I am a mechanical engineering student at Kennesaw State University. I transferred to Kennesaw to pursue a degree in ME after three semesters at Shorter University. While at Shorter, I was a member of the football team and school wind ensemble. While balancing the schedules of football, band, and classes, I was able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Once I transferred, I decided to stay focused on school and join the workforce. At KSU I currently have a 3.98 GPA while working 32 hours a week at Publix and Apple Perimeter. Through the years I have gained experience in many facets of industry and life. While in high school I was a member of Skills USA and worked in the school autoshop, so I have knowledge and experience in light maintenance and repair. During the summer of 2020 I worked with AC Commercial on a demolition job. That experience gave me knowledge of many facets of construction including power tool operation and safety, scissor lift and forklift operation and safety, the importance of deadlines and how to adjust on the spot when situations evolve. I currently am working as an estimator at AC Sales Corporation. Shortly after my work at AC Sales began I became the main estimator with the company due to others in our department exploring other opportunities. I was forced to adapt, overcome, and learn the job on the fly. This experience certainly wasn't what I initially expected, but it turned out to be very valuable to developing skills of quick learning, problem solving, and improving my ability to exit my comfort zone and try things that are harder than I initially think is possible.
