IT Specialist - NB Power Corporation: March 2021 - Present Shane has 21 years of programming / development experience in the Information Technology industry. Over the years, Shane has proved that he is hard-working, an efficient learner and above all a team player. Shane is a graduate of the Oracle Certified Professional Program at Advanced Training and Services in Saint John and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, N.B. As an employee, he has shown that he enjoys a challenge and has very strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Shane possesses excellent technical skills including development with Visual Studio(C #.NET, VB.NET, MVC), Microsoft Access, SQL Server, SSRS, Oracle 11g, Oracle Designer, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports. For the past 7 years, Shane worked on a contract with NB Power working almost exclusively with the Visual Studio 2013 suite of development tools and SQL Server 2008-2017. Since his start in 2001, Shane has been involved in a number of major government projects including an Oracle web based application for the Government of New Brunswick (Dept. of Public Safety) and Microsoft web based applications for the States of Maine, Virginia, and New Hampshire (Dept. of Corrections) and the Province of New Brunswick (Elections NB)(NBVIS). Shane is best known for his excellent problem solving, communication and team building skills.
