About Shane Mitchell
Currently completing my second MA in Counselling Psychology to become a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario. My interest lies in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, spiritual psychology, somatically oriented interventions and hypnotherapy. My approach is informed by Compassionate Inquiry (Gabor Maté), Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine), Person-Centered Therapy (Carl Rogers), Mindfulness techniques and a MA specializing in Kundalini Yoga. Presently I am seeking secondary practicum placement in Ontario to develop my intervention and response skills, and enhance clinical thinking. I have a wide background of training in different mind-body arts including manual therapies (Bowen Therapy, Hypnosis and Fascial Release), Holistic Health Coaching (CHEK Institute), Yoga (Hatha 200hours, Kundalini 220hours, Yoga 12-step for Addiction), and LENS Neurofeedback training.
