B.Sc in Applied Physics from Dublin City University (DCU) PhD in Materials Science focused on atomic layer deposited (ALD) of thin films and their characterisation for use as protective layers for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting from DCU for the conversion of electricity to storable hydrogen fuel. Knowledge and 6+yrs experience working with Ultra-High Vacuum systems, surface science as well as spectroscopic and other analysis techniques. These include; X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Electrochemical Testing, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Reflectivity (XRR), Hard X-Ray Photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Spectroscopic Ellipsometry (SE), Mass Spectrometry Involved in commission, operation and maintenance of ALD-XPS system.
