About Shane Riordan

I am a seasoned program manager with an Environmental Science Policy background and strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. I have spent the last ten years of supporting clients at Headquarters Air Force including the development of solutions to complex, interdisciplinary challenges related to land use, natural resource management, and the environment. I have provided leadership and support for multiple projects in the public and private sector, including Air Force and Navy encroachment management programs, Air Force water security studies, Air Force community partnerships and community sustainability and resiliency projects. My highly developed skills as a researcher, technical writer, editor, and project manager consistently enabled my project teams to deliver high quality deliverables ahead of schedule and under budget. My project experiences have given me a unique perspective on national, state, and regional environmental challenges, which I have used to craft stakeholder engagement and communications strategies to support land use and sustainability plans. My engagement experience also includes bringing together representatives from government agencies, conservation organizations, private industry, and academia to solve complicated issues related to regional sustainability. I also have working knowledge of environmental media sampling and analytical methods having worked for an environmental consulting company specializing in soil remediation at several Superfund sites.
