As Principal DevOps Engineer for Ascensus Government Savings Division, my focus is on leading a dynamic team to improve value and cybersecurity measures. Recent work includes significant improvements in cybersecurity throughout the systems lifecycle, improved identity management partner integrations (OAuth, OIDC, SAML), contributing to robust system architecture and compliance with SOC2 and ISO 27001 standards. Through collaboration with partner companies, our team has successfully implemented high availability solutions and optimized technical performance across hybrid-cloud systems. The implementation of zero trust networking and advanced security automation underscores a commitment to maintain the integrity and performance of Ascensus' infrastructure, ensuring optimal uptime and security. Change is inevitable, so I pride myself on being future-focused, minimizing vendor lock-in while accelerating delivery of change of systems that are designed to simplify future growth, using standards for integration with other systems, and well-documented and encapsulated for ease of replacement should that become necessary for a predecessor. Throughout my career, my diligence, curiosity, and dedication to quality have led to my discovery of countless bugs and multiple security vulnerabilities including 2FA bypass, remote code execution, unintentional API exposure and credential leaks, XSS (cross-site-scripting), and DoS (denial-of-service) vulnerabilities.
