About Shane Snipes

Hi, I’m Shane Snipes — professor, researcher, and entrepreneur. I wear a few hats, but they all come back to one thing: helping people discover their potential through entrepreneurship, education, and now, artificial intelligence.Over the last decade, I’ve built programs that put students in the driver’s seat-Teaching entrepreneurship and small business at CUNY, where I serve as Deputy Chair of Business Management and coordinate the Small Business Entrepreneurship degree-Creating the Citizen Entrepreneur Explorers Program (CEEP), now scaled to 12 colleges across 3 countries with support from the Kauffman Foundation-Leading BMCC LaunchPad, where more than 200 student entrepreneurs have earned over in venture micro-grants-I’m passionate about making AI more than a buzzword in education. I’ve authored Transforming Education with AI and presented at global conferences on how tools like ChatGPT can actually boost critical thinking, teamwork, and empathy in students. My research blends AI, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning to reimagine what’s possible in higher ed.Along the way, I’ve founded companies (like OneGreener, a sustainability analytics firm), worked with global giants like HP and Microsoft, and collaborated with communities from Lithuania to Thailand to NYC.On LinkedIn, I share practical strategies for using AI in teaching and entrepreneurship, insights from my research on self-efficacy and empathy, and stories from my work with students and startups. If you’re curious about co-creating the future of education, exploring entrepreneurship as a force for community change, or finding smart ways to integrate AI into your own practice — you’re in the right place.Let’s connect
