About Shane Snyder

Technology is business. It is people who benefit from or are disadvantaged by technology. I encourage others to remember the human element of business as we tend to lose sight of people when we become engrossed with the intracacies and complexities associated with technology. Hard skills can be learned, but soft skills must be cultivated through appropriate coaching, practice, and mindful execution. Leaders have a unique opportunity to foster effective use of technology to help teams, departments, and organizations align with their missions and visions. My industry experience is built on facilitating technology solutions in the IT sector and promoting positive student learning outcomes in online higher education. This includes twenty+ years instructing technology subject matter, three years providing technical instruction in a corporate setting, and one year administering a database management system in a non-profit educational institution. My perspective also includes ten+ years experience as a programmer/analyst and instructor in batch and online mainframe environments and PC environments which includes IT experience in the healthcare domain.
