I am a mechanical engineering student at Anderson University with a strong passion for manufacturing, automated systems, process improvement, and project design. My coursework and internships have given me practical experience in engineering tools and problem-solving, preparing me for a future career in engineering. Over time, my experiences in both academics and athletics showed me the value of precision, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities that drew me further toward engineering as both a passion and a career path.Through my role as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at MEKRA Lang North America, I implemented error-proofing solutions, integrated sensors and automation features into production lines, performed troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on Allen-Bradley PLC systems, and created documentation such as bills of materials, PFMEA, and process flow charts for process improvement projects. I also gained hands-on experience building test equipment, interpreting electrical drawings, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support fast-paced manufacturing projects. In addition, my coursework has strengthened my skills in Python, MATLAB/Simulink, and CAD software, giving me a balance of technical and applied engineering knowledge.As a former outfielder for the Anderson University Trojans Baseball Team, I developed leadership, communication, and time management skills that directly translate into my engineering work. Whether on the field or in a project setting, I value collaboration and believe in supporting my teammates to achieve a shared goal. I am eager to apply my technical expertise, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to excellence to engineering challenges that make a measurable impact in both industry and community settings.
