Bringing 10+ years of experience at Google in COO and Communications leadership roles spread across Australia, Asia-Pacific, and the United States, I am an expert in bringing teams together to organise the chaos and make big things happen. From crafting strategy to leading large distributed teams, I enjoy breaking down tough problems into achievable milestones and getting people excited about making contributions towards our goals. A few of my favourite career highlights include: • Leading a team of 100+ comms professionals to drive coverage for Google's biggest event, Google I/O, for many years. • Crafting and delivering on a multi-year strategy for our team of 110+ people across the US and Latin America focused around three pillars: The Team, The Work, and The Processes. • Building Google Communications' first ever global launch and issue tracker to manage and stackrank our external and internal moments each year. • Managing a team of 60 people x-functionally to launch 100+ products and features in response to the pandemic. • Leading an 8-person team to recreate the original Google Garage just like it was in 1998 and capture it virtually on Street View to celebrate Google's 20th Birthday. • Hosting many multi-day cross-product press events for journalists and social influencers to get them talking about our products in Australia, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, the US, and even the Amazon Rainforest. I have had the opportunity to build skills in leading x-functional teams, executive coaching, leadership development, change management, team culture, internal communications, speechwriting, strategic planning, messaging, creative production, social media engagement, press outreach, bureaucracy busting, headcount allocation, and much more. Before Google, as CMO of 180 Degrees Consulting, I helped build the brand to expand our consultancy footprint from infancy to 11 offices globally with over 600 consultants working with over 100 socially-conscious clients worldwide. And on the side, The University of Sydney continues to invite me as a guest lecturer for Undergraduate and Masters Marketing students and as a consultant on industry collaboration. Having returned to Australia after a well-earned break, I launched my own Strategy and Communications consultancy and am studying computer science via Harvard University.
