About Shane Walsh

In 2012, I graduated with an Upper Second Class Honours in Bachelor of Business in Sport and Wellness form Institute of Technology Sligo. During this time I undertook work experience at the Central Hotel Leisure Centre which enabled me to deal with clients in the gym and assist them with exercises. In January 2015,I completed an MSc in Applied Exercise and Sport Psychology at Waterford Institute of Technology. Set up my own Sport and Exercise Consultancy Business, SpEx Psychology Consulting (now Shane Walsh Sports Therapy) in January 2015 aiming to help athletes and exercisers improve performances and get the most out of their potential. Completed VCTC Level 3 in Sports Massage Therapy in June 2018 and changed the name of my business to Shane Walsh Sports Therapy providing psychological advice to athletes and exercisers while also providing a range of sports massage treatments. Started my role as Clerical Officer with the National Recruitment Service for the HSE in January 2022 In July 2023 I moved to an Assistant Staff Officer role within the Head of Service Primary Care Office in CHO1. in January 2024 I started my current role as Home Support Resource Office in the HSE
