About Shane Webster

As a teaching assistant and a 3D printing specialist, I apply my expertise in additive manufacturing and mechanical engineering to support students and faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology. I assist with grading, tutoring, lab setup, and equipment maintenance, as well as providing guidance and feedback on 3D printing projects and processes. I have contributed to the improvement of the 3D printing facilities and services at The Construct, a campus-wide makerspace, and the Student Hall for Exploration and Development Makerspace, where I completed a four-month co-op. I am also pursuing a master's degree in Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems Integration and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with a focus on Product Design and am working on a capstone focused on Solid State Physics simulation. I have gained experience in machining, solid modeling, Six Sigma design, engineering communication, and various programming languages and programs, such as Python, JavaScript, C++, MATLAB, and LabVIEW. I have earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from RIT.
