About Shane Weckstrom

My first love was working in the Travel industry. My ears still perk up when anyone around me is talking any kind of travel or vacation. I've never lost my inner travel agent. What I loved about the travel industry was being part of building lasting memories, problem solving complex logistics, and feeling part of the many wonderful organizations I worked along side with to make the world a better place. Some of the take away skills I was able to develop was to build my own business, market and brand myself, my products, and my customers. My core skills of consultative selling and customer service where front and center and creative problem solving was a daily task. My next few roles would build off those themes and introduce me to the manufacturing, safety, construction, and industrial arenas. I have embraced the world of business development and outside sales and enjoy building up whatever business I am involved in. Working for some construction related companies has given me a first hand appreciation for Safety companies and especially fall protection. Whether I was 60 feet up on a scissor lift or on top of a roof on a 50 story skyscraper, I have seen and felt the peace of mind that comes with fall safety. My role with High Engineering is a perfect fit to use my seemingly unrelated past roles and tie them all together.
