About Shane Woldendorp

I joined M&G Investments in February 2025 as a Global Investment Specialist, responsible for expanding the company’s global product offering into the South African market. In this role, I serve as a vital link between M&G Investments Southern Africa client-facing team and the UK-based investment team. Prior to joining M&G, I spent over 10 years at Orbis Investments in Sydney, Australia as an Investment Specialist, where I acted as a conduit between Orbis’ investment teams and client-facing teams and investors. I was also responsible for managing Orbis’ relationships with institutional clients and ratings research houses and was a member of the local Executive Committee. For four years prior to that, I was a Client Relationship Manager in the private clients team at Orbis’ sister company, Allan Gray in Cape Town. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Environmental & Geographical Sciences and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. I am also a CFA® Charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.
