I am currently enrolled in a DNP program (part-time), while working as an Associate Professor of Nursing in an associate degree nursing program (full-time). I started my nursing career in the Neonatal ICU in 2012 and was pleased knowing that I would get to take care of "tiny humans" for years to come. As I gained nursing experience and responsibility in the NICU over the years, I somehow acquired the responsibility of precepting new nurses and nursing students. I was surprised to find that I loved it! So much so that I started volunteering myself to precept the nursing students whenever they visited my unit. Fast forward past several years as a nurse in clinical practice, as a nurse in academia, various nursing conferences, and continued education, to the role I have grown to love now: Nurse Educator.
