About Shani Dellimore Barrax

As the Principal of Aurora Change Agency LLC, a diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging (DEIB), and organizational development consulting collective, I help organizations create intentionally humane and inclusive cultures through intrapersonal and interpersonal engagement. Rooted in cultural humility, I guide individuals and organizations towards their most impactful selves through dialogue and action-based Solution Circles, Innovation Forums, and strategic advisement. Connect my clients' passion for DEIB with my proficiency in creating innovative and facilitative programs that empower them towards change agency, I have more than 25 years of practical experience leading and facilitating diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts through organizational change and development across multiple sectors (including K-12 and higher education, corporate, professional associations, and other nonprofits). I have led emerging and established DEIB teams; conducted climate and engagement surveys with resulting strategic plans and executive data summaries; created and delivered customized training and development programs; managed employee resource groups, DEI councils and other related programs and infrastructure; and supported policy creation and implementation. In addition to having served as an adjunct professor in business, leadership, and social work, I am a trained mediator, Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator, and Prosci-Certified Change Management Practitioner. I've been a featured speaker, facilitator, and presenter for conferences, think tanks, and organizations, and have contributed to thought leadership as a former city council candidate and published author in DEIB-related textbooks.
