About Shanika Robinson

At the age of 7, I began cleaning and selling golf balls that fell into our yard from the course next to us. Although I did not realize it back then, I loved the idea of entrepreneurship. Now, at age 22, my vision is spread the knowledge of entrepreneurship to women across the globe. For too long society has told us we are less able to run a business as successfully as our male counterparts and it has become my mission to break that way of thinking. By volunteering over 170 hours in Kenya to work with female entrepreneurs, over 50 hours mentoring young girls about the positives of owning a business, working within my family’s business called Golden Krust, and opening two businesses of my own I am proud to say that I am on my way to making my vision into a reality. Through all my failures and successes I’ve learned many things. I’ll always remember that we all get 24 hours in a day and those who use that time most wisely are the ones most likely to succeed.
