Hello! My name is Shanmitha and I am a 4th year Multimedia student at McMaster University. Growing up, I have always been passionate about creating content to bring people together to achieve a common goal. I took every opportunity I could to drive engagement through social events and expand my creativity by brainstorming new strategies to promote engagement on online platforms. Eventually, that led me to understand my passion for Communications and PR. I strive for innovation and have a passion to work in an environment that values teamwork, creativity and inclusivity. Through various experiences in numerous employment positions, I discovered my interest in PR, Communications and Social Media Marketing. These positions allowed me to grow immensely, take on new challenges and further develop my critical thinking and leadership skills that enhanced my work ethic. I am keen towards working in a business dedicated to Journalism, Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, Communications, IT Project Management and event planning. Apart from building a professional foundation, I enjoy travelling, reading and journalling. I am looking forward to enhancing my knowledge and interpersonal skills within the professional workplace and working with new individuals.
