About Shannah West

I am an aspiring Criminal Defense and Family Attorney. My lived experiences have guided my path to a career where I am able to advocate for individuals who are often without fair representation. With only 5% of attorneys being Black, and only 2% of that being Black women, my career goals are bigger than me. My plans, dreams, and goals are for my communities. I thrive off of making an impact. I am the CEO behind Shannah West Coaching, a Career Coaching platform for college grads of color. As a Black Latina woman, I have firsthand experiences with imposter syndrome, insecurities, lack of confidence, and fear of being authentic, that Black people often face during job searches, and even while employed. These fears and experiences result in countless grads remaining in unfulfilling or unrelated degree positions, because they lack clarity, direction, and strategy. Shannah West Coaching rejects all limiting mindsets.
