Background

About Shannon B.

A curious and connective leader who seeks to empower others to find their passion and support them in the pursuit of their goals. I spent the early part of my career working as an Accountant in many different industries, from food service and retail to telecommunications and banking. I've done just about everything in corporate accounting, including investment management, payroll, regulatory reporting, auditing, and just paying the bills. I owned a small business (bookstore/coffee shop) and enjoy doing bookkeeping for other businesses and community organizations. In the later part of my career, I am dedicated to the field of education. As an Operations Manager, I spend my days working with staff, faculty, and administrators to achieve operational excellence for our students and employees. As Associate Faculty, I support students exploring college and career opportunities and teach those interested in accounting, business management, and human relations. As a life-long learner, I firmly believe you are never too old to learn new things and achieve your educational goals!Leadership domains/themes:Executing - Responsibility, RestorativeRelationship Building - Connectedness, Empathy, RelatorStrategic Thinking - Learner, Input
